Alex got his bachelor's degree in Human Physiology (with an elective emphasis on Chemistry and Botany) from the University of Arizona in 2007. Since that time, he has always worked in some type of health-related field, from phytomedicine to pharmaceuticals. With the exception of acute emergency surgery (in his case, an appendectomy), Alex has always found holistic bodywork, including massage, nutrition, hydration, and posture, to be the most effective way of dealing with his own injuries and issues as they occur.
With that in mind, he sought a license to perform therapeutic touch professionally, which he obtained in 2015 from the Arizona School of Integrated Studies. Constantly striving to increase his knowledge base, Alex does a great deal of research in his own time, and as a result, his treatment skillset is comprehensive, attentive, and effective: there is almost always something he can do!
When it comes to maintaining wellness, in addition to therapeutic bodywork, Alex feels it is also important to consider nutrition and hydration, and which is why he earned a nutritional consultant certification in 2017, and is happy to discuss those topics with clients. Exercise and posture are key aspects of a healthy lifestyle as well, and to that end, he is a certified qigong instructor and hosts weekly classes which are open to participants of all levels, no experience required: feel free to contact him for more information and the current schedule, or simply to ask any questions you may have!
Alex is certified by the Arizona State Board of Massage, and is a member of the American Massage Therapists Association.
